iBaguio.net v5.0
Feb 22nd, 2008 | By iBaguio Army | Category: NewsAfter months of procrastination, I’ve finally decided to move iBaguio (Baguio’s first online city guide and portal) unto WordPress. This means easier, and hopefully more frequent, updates to Baguio’s longest running website. Unfortunately, this also means less control on my part to the design and aesthetics of the site. The version 4.0 design has been internationally acclaimed, having been featured in numerous web design galleries all over the world… most of them in languages I couldn’t even understand. I’ve decided to focus more on the content and work on the design later on.
2008 is iBaguio’s 11th year and I’m hell bent on getting the site’s rankings up on the search engines versus some newcomers. Admittedly, it has been my lack of time that brought about the “fall” in rankings. Most of the other Baguio City sites on the internet are just plain ugly and a sad representation of the City, IMHO. And, it’s a sad fact that the most popular private Baguio website on the internet offers nothing more than outdated information and photos. On the other hand, the city’s official site just looks weird, slow to load, and using technology for technology’s sake.
I believe iBaguio is not just Baguio’s best-designed website, but also potentially Baguio’s best website… bar none.
Feel free to look around and explore my City… and pardon me for some site quirks as I work out the kinks.
